  8. What is EMC_Index?
  9.  
  10. Well basically EMC_Index is a CD that contains thumbnail index screens of
  11. all the graphics from a great many CDs that you probably already have in
  12. your collection.

  16. Why was EMC_Index created?
  17.  
  18. For one reason and one reason only! Because most of the CDs currently
  19. available are classic examples of "shovelware" and the producers of these
  20. CDs are more interested in ripping their customers off, by punting out
  21. sub-standard and poorly organised CDs as fast as possible without caring
  22. what is actually on them! Creating thumbnail index screens is not a
  23. complicated process but it is time consuming one. These CD producers
  24. apparently aren't interested in anything that will delay the production of
  25. their CDs and therefore the money pouring into their bank accounts. The
  26. only people that loose at the end of the day are their customers...

  31. What does EMC_Index do for me?
  32.  
  33. This CD has been designed and produced as a direct result of the customer
  34. feedback that we received from our Phase 1, 2 and 3 CDs. Many of you thought
  35. that the inclusion of thumbnail index screens on our CDs was an excellent
  36. idea and felt that their inclusion gratly assisted in the rapid location of
  37. a particular image or piece of clipart. EMC_Index basically offers you a
  38. fast and easy method of "seeing" the graphics that are contained on the CDs
  39. that most of you will probably already own. How many of you have actually
  40. loaded every image or piece of clipart into an application to view them? Now
  41. you don't have to... all you need to do is load EMC_Index into your CD drive
  42. and browse through it's contents... after you have found the image you just
  43. insert the CD that it is contained on! What could be simpler?

  90. How will EMC_Index help me?

  92. Although this CD obviously offers you nothing new in respect of programs or
  93. data we sincerely feel that this CD will soon prove to be an invaluable
  94. addition to your collection. Not only does it offer you a means of "seeing"
  95. the graphics on other CDs it can also be used as a guide to the graphics
  96. contained on a CD that you are considering buying! Mind you, after "seeing"
  97. some of the pathetic graphics contained on some CDs... who would want to buy
  98. them?

  102. When will EMC's Index be available?
  103.  
  104. EMC's Index is due for release on the 20th May 1996. The RRP will be £14.99
  105. + p&p, but advance orders will attract a £2 discount so will therefore only
  106. cost you £12.99 + p&p. You must get your orders to us before 17th May 1996
  107. to qualify for the pre release discount!
